Accessing the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR)
Cutting Edge has the capacity to view patients' vaccine history listed with the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR).
To view a patient's AIR data, simply go to the Patient screen and click on the AIR Records tab in the bottom section of the screen.
If this is the first time you're accessing AIR for this patient the list will be automatically downloaded for you. CE automatically updates AIR Records once a month, or you can update the list at any time by clicking the "Fetch AIR Records" button. The box next to the button shows the date the list was last refreshed.
There are 5 sub tabs, showing respectively:
- Vaccine history including brand, does number and batch details, plus notes
- Any vaccines that are due
- Any recorded contraindications (NOTE: this may be incomplete, an empty list does not imply there are no vaccine contraindications)
- Any vaccine trials that the patient has enrolled in
- Any recorded natural immunity
This view is read-only by default.
