Adding your Online Claiming Details for BUPA and HBF

BUPA
It is important to have the correct BUPA Schedule Type and Payee ID entered on the Settings/Online screen.  Claims to Bupa will not process if transmitted without the Bupa ID.  Providers will also need to update their Bupa Payee ID for each facility/hospital. In order to do this, go to Databases > Facility in the menu on the left hand side of the screen when logged into CEsoft.

Most providers should use the full BUPA schedule. BUPA pays some providers at 100% of MBS; those providers should set MBS as the BUPA schedule type. To set this, go to Settings, then the Online tab from the row of options near the top of the screen. The setting can be found in the Default Fee Basis section.

Each provider has a BUPA Payee ID, if you do not have this on hand, you'll need to contact BUPA in order to obtain it

HBF
HBF has 3 schedules if you are in Western Australia. 
  • the Known Gap HBF schedule; (Provider Choice)
  • the No Gap HBF schedule; (Full Cover)
  • a schedule for anaesthetists. (Full Cover Anaes)
For all other States - HBF uses the AHSA schedule.
