Important Platform Upgrades - August 2026
During August we will perform important platform upgrades to the services we use for electronic claims and processing and payment reports. The majority of the work will be done after hours to minimise disruption to your use of CESoft. However one step requires us to coordinate with Services Australia which can only be done during business hours. There will be a short outage during this step and for this reason we are contacting you to schedule a day between the 17th and 28th of August to complete the work for your site. What is the expected impact?
During these works, your access to CESoft will not be affected. However, on the agreed day your connectivity for electronic claims will be inactive for a short period, during which you won't be able to submit electronic claims or conduct cover checks. We expect the changeover to take approximately less than an hour but it may take longer in some cases. During the changeover you can continue to create and prepare invoices for submission, but you won’t be able to submit claims until we give you the all clear. What action is required?
If you don’t mind when the work is done, then nothing is required, we will schedule a date and let you know when the work is completed. If you would prefer the work to be done (or not done) on a particular day, please email (support@cesoft.com.au) and let us know the days you would prefer and we will try to accommodate that for you. On the day of the transition we will advise you when the electronic claims service is going down and when it is back online. Why is this work needed? We are upgrading our connection to Medicare Online and ECLIPSE as a part of overall platform improvements, to ensure you always have reliable access to electronic claiming. We are spreading this work over a two week period to ensure it goes smoothly for all our sites. At the end of the period we will be decommissioning our legacy connection to Medicare and ECLIPSE. For that reason, the work is not optional for any site. Are my current and old claims affected?
No, there’s no impact on any old claims, nor any claims that have been submitted and are awaiting processing or payment reports. The only effect is a slight delay during which you won't be able to submit new claims or receive processing and payment reports. Are my WorldPay payment gateway payments affected?
No, your integrated card and BPay payments are unaffected by this work. You can continue to request and receive payments throughout this period. Please get in touch if you have any questions or concerns.
